I am thrilled to announce that I have accepted a position at the University of Iowa. I will be the Community Outreach Librarian from the Great Midwest Region of the National Network of Medical Libraries. I will be developing and promoting outreach and education within communities in the Greater Midwest Region (GMR) of the National Network of Libraries of Medicine (NN/LM).
This position will allow my to combine my background in public libraries, experience in developing and providing training with my recent education in public policy. Basically, it is a trifecta of awesomeness. I am excited to be joining the amazing team at the Hardin Library for Health Sciences and the University of Iowa Libraries.
If you are interested in keeping up with my new work, I will be tweeting about it, and I may start blogging again (I deleted my Facebook profile last Fall and have no regrets, though I do still maintain the Librarian by Day pageLibrarian by Day page).
Congrats, Bobbi! Pretty awesome, and it sounds like a great fit for you. yay for new jobs!
