As part of my position at the Network of the National Library of Medicine Greater Midwest Region office at the University of Iowa I am very excited to share information about this upcoming free virtual symposium.
This free three-day virtual symposium will bring together experts on morale, invisible services, vocational awe, burnout, and self-care. The symposium will provide library staff at all levels, including management, with key takeaways to help improve the health and wellness of library staff. This event is open to library science students and all library staff regardless of employment status.

We have moved quickly on this project. It was the beginning of December when I first pitched the idea and began putting together a proposal. The budget is approved, there is an advisory committee, and we have secured most speakers. We are waiting to the Purchasing Department to finalize the contract with Virtual Experience Design to get the website up and registration open. We know how busy everyone is right now and how valuable time is so we have made a save the date!
