YouTube – not just about your 15 seconds of fame anymore

It looks like YouTube will be partnering with MGM to host some full length films (The Magnificent Seven) and old television programs (American Gladiators).  I didn’t see anything about the quality of the videos, if you visit YouTube regularly you know the quality of uploaded videos is pretty poor, surely the shows will be better.  Maybe if they are willing to play MGM videos at better quality it wont be long before we see the option for other accounts to have better video quality.  Like accounts belonging to libraries.  Read More: MGM to Post Full Movies on YouTube Report: YouTube to Host Full-length MGM Movies MGM to Post Full Films on YouTube Bookmark on Delicious Digg this post Share on FriendFeed Buzz it up Share on netvibes share via Reddit Share with Stumblers Tumblr it Buzz it up Subscribe to the comments on this post Print for later Tell a friend

SCOM Videos

MRRL now has a Self Checkout Machine (SCOM) and staff made videos to help patrons understand how to use it. I got a hold of them and put them on both MRRL’s Flickr and Youtube accounts. The flickr video is so much clearer, of course we’re paying for a pro account, but I can’t see why we’d bother with YouTube anymore. Am I missing something? What do you think?
